Triaxial Weaving
Or
Mad Weave
The Oakville Handweavers and Spinners invite you to join them
Wednesday SEPTEMBER 19, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm in the Fibre Studio at the New
QueenElizabeth Community Centre
in learning how to do Tiaxial Weaving. (PART II)
Leading this workshop will be once again Carole Neely who will help you to create a
one of a kind greeting card with the triaxial woven piece in the window of
the card, and expand what you have already learned in the PART I back in April!
Carole has done some experimenting with this technique, which adds an
extra dimension beyond just the warp and weft of traditional weaving.
Carole is a member of the Mississauga Handweavers and Spinners guild
and is their current president. She also served for 6 years as treasurer on the
board of the Ontario Handweavers and Spinners. Carole learned to weave
from her Grandmother and still uses that loom today.
